Nonesuch is a US record label that was created in 1964 as a budget label for classical releases. It eventually expanded to include adventurous music from around the globe and world-premiere recordings of contemporary composers. Nonesuch has gone through various ownership changes over the years, including being acquired by Warner Communications in 1970 and becoming a sub-label of Warner Bros. Records in 2004.

Under the leadership of Jac Holzman, Nonesuch was established as a budget label for classical releases licensed from large record companies in Britain and France. Designed by Bill Harvey, the packaging emphasized affordability with releases marketed as "Recordings at the Price of a Quality Paperback."

In 1970, Nonesuch became part of Warner Communications (Kinney/WEA) and continued to release music under its own name along with other Elektra-based labels like Elektra and Asylum Records. The merger between Elektra and Atlantic labels in 2004 resulted in Nonesuch becoming a sub-label of Warner Bros. Records within the Warner Music Group.

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician&nbsp;Molly Tuttle&nbsp;and her band,&nbsp;Golden Highway, release their new album,&nbsp;City of Gold, following Tuttle’s acclaimed 2022 record,&nbsp;Crooked Tree, which won Best Bluegrass Album at the 65th&nbsp;Annual Grammy Awards and led NPR Music&nbsp;to call her, ‘a female flat picker extraordinaire with agility, speed and elegance who distinctively brings American&nbsp;roots music into the spotlight’, adding that the album ‘marries the improvisatory solos of traditional bluegrass with singer-songwriter sophistication.’

Produced by Tuttle and Jerry Douglas&nbsp;and&nbsp;recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios,&nbsp;City of Gold&nbsp;was inspired by Tuttle’s constant touring with Golden Highway these past few years, during which they have grown together as musicians and performers, cohering as a band.&nbsp; These 13 tracks – mostly written by Tuttle and Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show) – capture the electric energy of band’s live shows by highlighting each members’ musical strengths.&nbsp; In addition to Tuttle and Secor, Mason Via also co-wrote ‘Down Home Dispensary’, while Melody Walker and Shelby Means co-wrote ‘Next Rodeo’.&nbsp;
