Atlantic is a renowned US record label that was founded in 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun, Herb Abramson, and Miriam Abramson. Over the years, it has grown into one of the leading companies in the music industry, known for its commitment to artistry and quality. In 1967, Atlantic was purchased by Warner Bros. film studio and operated alongside ATCO Records as separate entities. The label continued to expand its influence when it acquired Elektra in 1970, forming the Warner-Elektra-Atlantic alliance.
Today, Atlantic remains a part of the Warner Music Group and forms the Atlantic Music Group along with Elektra, Rhino Records (2), Lava, and EastWest Records America. The label's iconic Saul Bass designed W logo was introduced in 1975. Named among XXL’s “100 Best Mixtapes of 2010,” the collection was quickly followed by 2011’s The Marathon Continues and then 2013’s Crenshaw. Along with his work as a lead artist, Hussle had previously collaborated with a veritable who’s who of contemporary hip hop, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rick Ross, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill, DJ Mustard, Young Thug and many more. As if his musical career and role as label boss weren’t enough, Hussle was also a successful entrepreneur. In addition to The Marathon Clothing line and store, Hussle also owned a number of successful businesses including The Marathon Agency, SC Commercial Ventures, Proud 2 Pay, and of course, All Money In No Money Out Records.
