NOSOUND is an English/Italian alternative rock band formed in 2002 by Giancarlo Erra. Known for their diverse musical styles including alternative rock, post rock, electronic, and ambient music, NOSOUND initially consisted solely of Erra who composed, played, produced, engineered, and released the early recordings. As demand grew for live performances, Erra assembled a talented group of musicians who would later become full-time members of the band.

Influenced by renowned artists such as *Radiohead*, *Sigur Ros*, *Pink Floyd*, *Arvo Pärt*, *Brian Eno*, and *Bark Psychosis*, NOSOUND has crafted a unique sound that captivates audiences worldwide.

The current lineup features Giancarlo Erra on vocals, guitars, and keyboards; Paolo Vigliarolo on guitars; Marco Berni on keyboards; Orazio Fabbri on bass; and Ciro Iavarone on drums. Nosound have been regarded by critics and fans alike as one of the most interesting modern Art Rock bands in Europe, inventively combining influences from '70s psychedelia, '80s/'90s ambient and contemporary alternative, progressive and post-rock. Started as a one-man studio project in 2005 by Giancarlo Erra but has since grown into a five-piece band, evolving into something unique, focused and powerful. The music is evocative and intense, with personal songwriting. Influences range from Pink Floyd to Brian Eno, from Porcupine Tree to Sigur Ros, passing through rock and electronic/ambient. Afterthoughts is Nosound's fourth studio album, the follow up to 2009's A Sense Of Loss, which was described by Goldmine as "Nosound's most accomplished recording" (4/5) and by DPRP as "one of the finest releases of 2009" (9.5/10). . This mid-price CD edition has been newly remastered by Erra, along with the rest of the Nosound catalogue, in the build-up to the band's new studio album due later in 2018. It is presented in digipack packaging complete with an 8-page booklet and features the previously unreleased bonus track "Letter To A Possible Past" and two tracks from the At the Pier EP, all taken from the original recording sessions with Chris Maitland.
