Long-running UK electronic group, originally formed by Jimmy Cauty and Alex Paterson in 1988, that grew out of a love of ambient music and dub, soundscapes and science fiction. Due to the early work in this style, The Orb became pioneers of the early-90's-born "ambient house" genre.
The group's lineup has shifted over the years, with Alex being the only consistent member. Notable members include Thrash and Thomas Fehlmann. Though he was never officially a member, Youth (a.k.a. Martin Glover) was instrumental throughout the group's existence, and co-owned the label WAU! Mr. Modo Recordings with Alex (they had known each other since they were young, and Alex was a roadie for the group Killing Joke, in which Youth played bass).

Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". Held on one Saturday every April and every Black Friday in November, the day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world.

Lee Scratch Perry is an American jazz pianist and composer, born on May 8, 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. With a passion for music since childhood, he dedicated his life to playing the piano until 2018 when he faced two strokes that left him partially paralyzed. Despite this setback, Perry's talent and creativity continue to shine through.

Perry has made significant contributions to the music industry and is renowned for his own music publishing house. He is also recognized as the older brother of esteemed pianist and composer *Keith Jarrett* and singer-songwriter *Bobo Stenson*. His family's musical legacy runs deep.

This new collection was compiled by The Orb founder Alex Paterson, with all tracks recorded by Alex with Thomas Fehlmann and Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Featuring new artwork designed by long-time Orb collaborator Mike Coles, the album is being made available as a limited edition release on 180g tangerine-coloured vinyl.
 
 Six of the eight tracks on this release have never appeared on vinyl before, only ‘Fuzzball (Deadbeat's Champions League Dub)’ and ‘Golden Clouds (Blue Space White Cloud 81Neutronz Rmx)’, have appeared on vinyl previously.
