Atlantic is a renowned US record label that was founded in 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun, Herb Abramson, and Miriam Abramson. Over the years, it has grown into one of the leading companies in the music industry, known for its commitment to artistry and quality. In 1967, Atlantic was purchased by Warner Bros. film studio and operated alongside ATCO Records as separate entities. He was married from 1961 until his death and had four children. Otis Redding's best known compositions include the hits "Respect" and "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay". He was posthumously inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 (Performer) and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994.

Born on September 9, 1941 in Dawson, Georgia, USA, Otis Redding tragically died on December 10, 1967 near Madison, Wisconsin, USA in a plane crash.
