Palma Violets was an English band from Lambeth, London. Formed in 2011 and split up in 2016, the band consisted of Sam Fryer on vocals and guitar, Chilli Jesson on vocals and bass, Pete Mayhew on keyboards, and Will Doyle on drums. After their breakup, Sam, Pete, and Will went on to form *a6687158* with members of *The Big Moon*, while Chilli formed Crewel Intentions.
Known for their energetic performances and indie rock sound, Palma Violets drew inspiration from various genres such as punk rock and garage rock. Their music resonated with fans who enjoyed the sounds of similar artists like Peace, Swim Deep, Spector, Tribes, Mystery Jets, Howler, Jagwar Ma, The Maccabees,
The Vaccines,and The Cribs among others.
Although they may no longer be active as a band,Palm Violet's legacy lives on through their music which continues to captivate audiences around the world.

Rough Trade is a multinational label that was started by Geoff Travis in 1976 as a London record-shop. It quickly grew into an independent label and distributor, collaborating with notable labels such as 4AD, Factory Records, and One Little Indian. The label's catalogue numbering system for singles/EPs included prefixes like RT### and RTT###CD for different formats. Albums were numbered sequentially as ROUGH### with extensions for different formats.In the early 1990s, Rough Trade faced financial difficulties after expanding into the US market. The US branch was shut down and the German branch ended up in the Zomba Music Group. One Little Indian provided financing and took over the label in the UK, retaining ownership of key releases like A.R. Kane albums. Geoff Travis eventually regained control of Rough Trade around 1999–2000 and re-launched it alongside Tugboat Records.

This single is available on limited edition white vinyl 7" and CD single. 'We Found Love' is the latest single taken from Palma Violets' debut album '180'. The b-side, 'California Sun', is a cover of The Rivieras 1964 hit and a regular in Palma Violets' live sets.
