London outfit Part Chimp regularly get tagged as ‘one of the UK’s loudest bands’ (and they are) but since 2009 they’ve been relatively quiet. Between their formation in 2000 and 2009 they put out albums and vinyl collaborations with a regular frequency. Now, 8 years since their last LP Thriller, they release a new album, Iv on Rock Action. It's business as usual with hammering drums, savage guitars but it's sludgier, riffs galore and catchier than ever before. Welcome back to Part Chimp - no one does heavy better.
