Legacy is Sony Music Entertainment's catalog and reissue label. It was introduced by Columbia Records in 1960 for historical recordings. In 1990, CBS Records relaunched Legacy for reissues and repackaged releases. Since then, it has been used by CBS's successors. The label, sometimes indicated as "Legacy Recordings," is known for its extensive collection of *historical recordings* and *reissued albums*. Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington. They gained international fame with their album "Ten" and the hit single 'Alive'. Despite the decline of the grunge scene, Pearl Jam continued to produce experimental music with a nearly unchanged lineup. They have collaborated with various drummers over the years, including Matt Cameron from Soundgarden. The band members also pursued side projects such as Brad and Mad Season. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
Formed from previous bands Mother Love Bone and Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam quickly rose to stardom in the 90s. Although their popularity waned when grunge fell out of fashion, they remained dedicated to creating innovative music.
Their lineup has seen several drummers come and go, but they found stability with Matt Cameron who also plays for Soundgarden. Additionally, Pearl Jam had notable collaborations like backing Neil Young on his album "[m=38666]".

Binaural is the sixth studio album by Pearl Jam, released on May 16, 2000 through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of its previous album, Yield (1998), Pearl Jam took a short break before reconvening toward the end of 1999 to begin work on a new album. The music on the record featured an experimental sound, evident on songs that used binaural recording techniques. The atmospheric tracks, mostly featuring somber lyrics dealing with social criticism, led the band to convey these themes with images of nebulas in the album artwork.
