Pissed Jeans is an American noise rock band hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Known for their raw and energetic sound, they have been making waves in the music scene since their formation.

With influences ranging from *Part Chimp* to *The Jesus Lizard*, *Mclusky* to *Young Widows*, Pissed Jeans has carved out a unique place in the genre. Their music combines elements of punk, hardcore, and garage rock to create a truly powerful sonic experience.

Having shared the stage with notable acts such as *Hot Snakes* and *Fucked Up*, Pissed Jeans has built a dedicated fanbase that appreciates their intense live performances. Their discography includes albums like "Honeys" and "Why Love Now", which showcase their ability to deliver gritty lyrics with unapologetic fervor.

Short for "Subterranean Pop" 

The label was an outgrowth of [a=Bruce Pavitt]'s Olympia, WA based (print) fanzine, which became the well respected cassettezine of the same name. 

After his move to Seattle he ran a music column in the Seattle Rocket also called Sub Pop.

After initial forays into the record label world with a [a=Green River] 7" (not officially on Sub Pop) and the Sub Pop 100 LP, the label exploded onto the indie scene with four influential colored vinyl 7"s which included [a=Mudhoney]'s "Touch Me I'm Sick" which made the year-end top 10 playlist of nearly every music journalist in the world.

Subsequent hyping of the label in the English music press put them on the map, and grunge was born.

As aggro as ever, Pissed Jeans return to express their supreme discontent with the mundane world on their fourth album, Honeys. Changing their sound a bit from their last effort, 2009's King of Jeans, the album has a roomier, more open sound, giving the album more of a snarling quality than its more guttural predecessor. Though the sonic palette may be tweaked a little, the band's sense of disdain and frustration toward the little things is still gloriously intact. While most punk bands like to take a shot at big picture issues like politics and religion, Pissed Jeans dig into the gritty details of the modern world, evoking the smoldering annoyances building up in the hearts and minds of every cubicle dweller who's ever looked at a passive aggressive note in the company break room regarding the coffee machine and fantasized about ripping off their tie and running off to live a life of savage simplicity under a nice overpass somewhere.
