A multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Coventry, UK, Russell Haswell was born in 1970. With a diverse range of talents and interests, he has made a name for himself as an influential figure in the music industry.

Known for his experimental approach to sound, Haswell's work often pushes the boundaries of traditional musical genres. Drawing inspiration from artists such as *Gábor Lázár*, *Powell*, and *Pita*, he creates unique compositions that challenge conventional notions of rhythm and melody.

Haswell's innovative style has earned him recognition from both critics and fellow musicians alike. Collaborating with renowned artists such as *Mika Vainio* and *Kevin Drumm*, he continues to push the limits of what is possible within the realm of electronic music.

Having spent decades carving out his very particular niche which takes influence from a vast range of extreme music this is Russell's nostalgic nod to his influences whilst forging onwards with his perpetually unforeseen experience. Working in a variety of media over decades Haswell's belligerence towards his craft and critique of others has allowed him to operate in a zone outside of peers. As daunting as it is refreshing Haswell's output is always on the very edge of genre.

Haswell's ongoing output resides as a continuously in-flux, inquisitive and predominantly improvised exploration of the extreme limits of machine based art. Haswell has never been a 'studio artist' or 'producer'.
