From London-based Skinshape comes his third release, a unique blend of psychedelic rock, trip-hop, soul / funk and lo-fi mystique. Skinshape, a.k.a. Will Dorey - released his debut self-titled release back in 2014, and his acclaimed second album Oracolo in late 2015, garnering support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Huey Morgan, John Kennedy (Radio X), and a number of other BBC radio DJs. His third release, Life and Love explores a similar theme to both of his previous albums, but here Skinshape moves a little further away from the trip-hop style, exploring some more cinematic sounds with the addition of strings on Penny In A Well and the epic last track I Won't Be There. One guest vocal also appears, it's the so-called Aaron Paul who featured on Skinshape's first album, but he appears here as 'Aaron Taylor' on the second track Inside. This album was recorded at his studio in North London called 'The Arch' (home of band Palace and reggae label Horus Records), but also his bedroom!
