Touch and Go

Slint was an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1986. They disbanded after recording their second album, Spiderland, in 1991.
In 2005, 2007, and 2014, the band reunited for live shows. During the 2007 tour dates, they performed songs from Spiderland and their untitled 10" album. They also debuted a new composition called "King's Approach." In 2014, they released a box set that included a remastered version of Spiderland LP along with previously unreleased studio outtakes and demos. The release coincided with a new documentary film about their origins and the music scene in Louisville.

Touch And Go Records was started in Lansing, Michigan, by Tesco Vee and Dave Stimson in 1981 as an outgrowth of Touch And Go Zine, a fanzine the duo published. Their intent was to document their local hardcore punk scene.

Necros bassist Corey Rusk hooked up with Tesco to help run the label soon after it started and assumed full control after Vee moved to Washington, DC, in 1983. In 1987, Rusk moved the label to Chicago, Illinois, where the label still resides.

Over the years, Touch And Go has issued records by influential bands like *The Jesus Lizard*, *Slint*, *Shellac*, and *Big Black*. However, in 2008, Rusk announced that the label would be cutting back on its activity and ending its distribution services due to the economic climate of the times.

'tweez' seems to be the product of anxious brilliant minds, it sweeps in and out of different styles and approaches to subject to the point that it might seem disjointed in a way that 'spiderland' isn't. 'tweez' is more of an angsty album, it's raw and aggressive with lots of noise. any slint record is essential for your record collection. cheap until the 1st april 2005
