Brothers Ron and Russell Mael from Los Angeles, USA have been making diverse music since 1969 under various incarnations of Sparks. In 1979 they ditched the guitars and keyboards of glam geek rock and started working with Italian producer Giorgio Moroder, beginning a love affair with electronic music.
Since then they have collaborated with a variety of artists including Finitribe, Les Rita Mitsouko, Erasure, Faith No More and Franz Ferdinand. Their innovative approach to music has earned them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim throughout their career.
With their unique blend of genres and unmistakable style, Sparks continue to push boundaries in the world of music. Whether it's through their captivating live performances or their thought-provoking lyrics, this iconic duo remains an influential force in the industry.

Waxwork Records is a New Orleans based record label founded in January 2013 by Kevin Bergeron and Sue Ellen Soto. Specializing in classic cinema, horror, cult, and sci-fi film scores, Waxwork releases these iconic soundtracks in the highest quality LP packages available. The label goes above and beyond to locate the original source master tapes for each release, often thought to be lost or destroyed for decades. These tapes are then re-mixed and re-mastered by former guitarist of a well-known band. All Waxwork titles are pressed on 180 gram audiophile grade vinyl and housed in heavy old style casebound tip-on jackets.

Pressed to 180-gram vinyl on two vinyl variants of “Pink” or “Black and White Marble” colored vinyl (randomly packed) , this deluxe 4xLP includes 42 tracks that take us on a journey through five decades of music with Sparks brothers, Ron and Russell Mael.

The Sparks Brothers is a 2021 documentary directed by Edgar Wright and produced by Edgar Wright and Nira Park. Wright often uses music as a fundamental part of his filmmaking, drawing especially from popular music. He was inspired to create a film about the brothers after a life-long obsession with the band. Spending much of their personal lives out of the public eye, this riveting documentary finally sheds light on the Sparks brothers in an intimate way. With commentary by stars like Beck, Thurston Moore, Flea, Duran Duran, and Jack Antonoff, we discover how much of an influence the brothers had over the cinematic and musical world. “If you want to look at Ron and Russell, you have to look at them through one prism.
