Steve Von Till is most widely recognized as vocalist and guitarist in heavy post-psychedelic punk legends Neurosis. However, his talents extend far beyond that band's thunderous intensity. He has established himself through various projects such as the experimental offshoot Tribes of Neurot, psych-drone band Harvestman, and acoustic guitar-based solo releases.

Born on September 30, Steve Von Till's music is characterized by a unique blend of genres, incorporating elements of punk, psychedelia, and experimental sounds. His work resonates with fans who appreciate the raw power and emotional depth found within his compositions.

In addition to his solo career, Steve Von Till has collaborated with notable artists such as Scott Kelly, Old Man Gloom, ISIS, Cult Of Luna, Jesu, Amenra, Wovenhand, Grails, Year Of No Light, Godflesh, Emma Ruth Rundle,Crippled Black Phoenix,Rosetta ,Earth,Minsk,Dorthia Cottrell,Battle Of Mice,and Mamiffer. Steve Von Till, best known as Californian heavyweights Neurosis' singer and guitarist, releases a solo album. On A Life Unto Itself Von Till enlisted Randall Dunn, production supremo and Master Musicians of Bukkake founder, to helm the desk, as well as bringing in Eyvind Kang on viola and percussionist Pat Schowe. A Life Unto Itself also showcases J. Kardong on pedal steel, texturising Von Till's baritone gravel and sun-bleached skeleton of a guitar arrangement with some dust-blown harmonics , reminiscent of similarly raspy, whiskey-throttled voices of Mark Lanegan and Michael Gira.
