Demon is a UK 80s New Wave label that was founded by Elvis Costello, Andrew Lauder, and the company behind the label in 1980. In 1998, the label was acquired by Music Collection International and merged with its Westside Records operation. Today, Demon forms part of the Demon Music Group Ltd.

Initially a British folk-rock combo called Tyrannosaurus Rex, fronted by guitarist/vocalist Marc Bolan. They became glam rock pioneers and shortened their name to T. Rex in 1970. They had a series of top ten hits in the UK, including four number one singles. In America, the group only had one major hit - "Bang a Gong (Get It On)". They retained a following until Marc Bolan's death in 1977.
T Rex was an influential artist who started as a folk-rock band known as Tyrannosaurus Rex before transitioning into glam rock under the shortened name T. Rex. Led by the talented guitarist and vocalist Marc Bolan, they achieved great success with numerous top ten hits in the UK, including four number one singles. Although their popularity was limited in America, they did have one major hit with "Bang a Gong (Get It On)". Despite Marc Bolan's untimely death in 1977, T Rex continued to maintain a dedicated fan base.

This, the final official Marc Bolan and T. Rex album, was conceived during a turbulent time in rock history. Issued on 11 March 1977, Dandy In The Underworld arrived in the wake of the Damned’s New Rose and the Sex Pistols’ Anarchy In The UK, singles that had given the emerging punk rock a national platform. To promote the album, Bolan undertook a tour of the UK and Europe, with support from The Damned, who acknowledged T. Rex as a big influence.

With a new T. Rex line-up, Bolan had already scored a # 13 hit single with I Love To Boogie, and followed this up with single releases of the title track of the album, The Soul Of My Suit and Crimson Moon, before culminating with the exuberant Celebrate Summer, tragically the last single to be issued in Bolan’s lifetime. Demon Records presents the complete studio album pressed on 180 Gram clear vinyl for the first time.
