Citrus Beach  written by Tan Cologne is a song about an imagined beach full of Jacaranda and citrus trees facing Channel Islands and the staircase you must travel down to get there.  Maybelline  written by Earl Vallie is a song about an awe-inspiring Californian sunset named Maybelline, as witnessed through the transparent walls of a midwestern dive bar (cold drink wrapped in orange foam insulating koozie) and the portals you must travel to arrive there.
