The Easybeats were an Australian rock and roll band formed in Sydney in late 1964. They gained popularity with their energetic performances and catchy songs, which led to them relocating to London, England in late 1966. Despite disbanding at the end of 1969, they left a lasting impact on the music scene.
In 1986, *The Easybeats* reunited for a national reunion tour, delighting fans with their classic hits. Their unique sound influenced many other artists and continues to be celebrated today.

In addition to two sparkling versions of "Friday", this selection, recorded specially for the BBC by 'the Australian Beatles', includes marvellous pop-psyche tracks “Falling Off The Edge Of The World” and "Heaven And Hell” as well as some strong cover versions of songs by Ike &amp; Tina Turner, Ernie K.
