Epic Records is a record label that was launched in 1953 by CBS. It quickly became known for its bright-yellow and black logo, which became a trademark for many jazz and classical music releases. Over the years, Epic has worked with notable artists such as *Berlin Philharmonic*, *Juilliard String Quartet*, *Antal Dorati*, and *George Szell*. In the 1960s, Epic earned its first gold records and established itself as a force in rock, R&B, and country music.
