<p>Cadillac Records is a British jazz label founded by John Jack and Mike Westbrook in 1973. Initially created to release Westbrook's live album, which was rejected by RCA due to its recording quality, the label took its name from Westbrook's new band, Solid Gold Cadillac. Under John Jack's management and often in association with Ogun, Cadillac Records built a catalogue of some of the most significant contemporary Jazz produced in the UK. Following John Jack's passing in 2018, Mike Gavin took over as the label's owner. As a tribute to JJ, on his birthday and exactly 50 years after the original event, Cadillac released a recording of *Mike Westbrook - The Last Night at Ronnie Scott's Old Place* on May 25th, 2018.</p>

The Jazz Doctors or the Billy Bang Quartet toured Europe in the early 80s, featuring spiritual jazz pioneer saxophonist Frank Lowe and Vietnam vet turned free jazz violinist Billy Bang, the group recorded in 1983 in London. With legendary rhythm section Rafael Garrett and Dennis Charles, they recorded an album for Cadillac that fast became a sought after classic. This is the first time this rare LP has been reissued - remaster for vinyl release and direct cut from tapes at Gearbox studio.
