<p>The Libertines are a London based rock & roll band. They are signed to Virgin Records, having previously been with Rough Trade. The band consists of Peter Doherty on vocals and guitar, Carl Barat also on vocals and guitar, John Hassall on bass guitar, and Gary Powell on drums.</p>

The Libertines return for their first LP since 2004, full of sharp garage slop, glam anthems, Waterloo sunburn and loads of references to their collapse. 

<i>Anthems For Doomed Youth</i> was recorded in Karma Sound Studios in Thailand's Bang Saray (close to where Pete recently completed rehab). It's rich with mood and gorgeous melodies, and a pervasive doomy streak. It's great to have Barat and Doherty back together.
