The Residents are a US avant-garde group based in San Francisco. They officially started with the release of "Meet The Residents" in 1974, although they had been collaborating since 1969 or earlier. Known for their concept albums, multimedia projects, and enigmatic nature, the band has worked with numerous guest stars and maintains a highly secretive identity. Their name was inspired by a rejection letter from Warner Bros. Records that simply addressed them as "Residents."

New Ralph is a reincarnation of the iconic record label, Ralph Records. Established in 2017, this label made its debut with the highly acclaimed compilation album *New Ralph Compilation*. The following year, New Ralph embarked on an exciting reissue series, reintroducing timeless classics from their extensive catalog. With a rich history and a commitment to preserving the legacy of Ralph Records, New Ralph continues to be at the forefront of delivering exceptional music to fans worldwide.

Originally released in 2002, Demons Dance Alone explored The Residents’ response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, primarily through contemplations on denial, loss and grief. A modern masterpiece among the group’s extensive body of work, and packed with songs that have continued to endure, both in reworked studio and live form.

Formed in the early 1970s, The Residents have now been charting a unique path through the musical landscape for over 50 years. From far-out, experimental recordings to highly conceptual, innovative multi-platform projects, the band refuses to stand still, and continues to move in several different directions at once. But you already knew that.

Produced with The Cryptic Corporation, using archival material supplied by the group and their friend and collaborator Carla Fabrizio, this package takes a deep dive into the classic 2002 album – The Residents’ response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, exploring loss, denial and grief as only they could.
