Cherry Red is a British label that was founded by Iain McNay in 1978. Also known as Cherry Red Records, this label has become associated with the company Music and Media Group. With the label code LC 6730, Cherry Red has made a name for itself in the music industry. It is important to note that this label should not be confused with the US label of the same name.

The Residents are a US avant-garde group based in San Francisco. They officially started with the release of "Meet The Residents" in 1974, although they had been collaborating since 1969 or earlier. Known for their concept albums, multimedia projects, and enigmatic nature, the band has worked with numerous guest stars and maintains a highly secretive identity. Their name was inspired by a rejection letter from Warner Bros. Records that simply addressed them as "Residents."

Captured in San Francisco during their 2018 world tour, The Residents – Tyrone, Eekie, Erkie and Cha-Cha – perform a suite of dream-themed songs, alongside offerings from their latest studio album, Metal, Meat and Bone.

Including classics such as Man’s World, Jelly Jack, The Black Behind and Tourniquet Of Roses alongside fan favourites in Monkey Man, Mickey The Mumbling Midget and suchlike, this CD and DVD set captures the sight and sound of the new-look four-piece group, lavishly attired in tribute to The Mysterious N Senada, their Bavarian mentor, following the stripped back Randy, Chuck and Bob era.
