David McComb's odds and ends are better than most writers' A-material, with the song of the title, Beautiful Waste being a particular highlight and one of the band's finest singes, expertly produced with string augmentation and a bright, remastered finish, courtesy of Lachlan Carrick and Wolf Creek soundtrack composer Franc Tetaz.
