The Liquid Label

The Liquid Label is a music label founded in December 1993 by Torsten Stenzel. Originally distributed via MMS Euro, the label stopped operating in Germany when Torsten moved to Ibiza, Spain. The successor to The Liquid Label is Liquid Music S.L.

With the label code LC 6269 / LC 06269, it is important not to confuse The Liquid Label with other similar labels such as Liquid Recordings from the Netherlands or Liquid Records (2) from the UK.

Also related to Liquid Records S.L. and Liquid Music (8), The Liquid Label has made its mark in the music industry and continues to provide quality music for fans worldwide.

This new material marks an expansion of the duo’s dynamics, which represents another musical leap forward for the band, adding new textures and further honing a sound that has been theirs since their inception. In the process of embracing this evolution, the band enlisted the help of award-winning songwriter and producer, Tarek Musa (of Spring King / Dead Nature) as well as bringing in Claudius Mittendorf (Weezer, Parquet Courts, Life) for mixing duties. 

From the hook-heavy lead single “Rita”, a song about “a hard-working woman who defies the negative surroundings that try to stop her from doing what she is truly passionate about.” Through to alt-pop anthem “Let Me Go”, and darker, psych-inflected “Change Your Mind”, the band’s new material is simultaneously more cutting, energetic and melodically encapsulating than anything else they have released to-date.

Valeras continue to go from strength-to-strength with each release, and with a vast range of critical acclaim and an array of renowned live shows behind them, their new EP stands as a huge and refreshingly original statement of intent, which is not to be ignored.
