Waxwork Records is a New Orleans based record label founded in January 2013 by Kevin Bergeron and Sue Ellen Soto. Specializing in classic cinema, horror, cult, and sci-fi film scores, Waxwork releases these iconic soundtracks in the highest quality LP packages available. The label goes above and beyond to locate the original source master tapes for each release, often thought to be lost or destroyed for decades. These tapes are then re-mixed and re-mastered by former guitarist of a well-known band. All Waxwork titles are pressed on 180 gram audiophile grade vinyl and housed in heavy old style casebound tip-on jackets.

What sets Waxwork apart is their commitment to providing a complete package for each release. Every album features newly commissioned full package artwork and design along with liner notes from the film directors and composers themselves. This attention to detail ensures that fans not only get an exceptional listening experience but also a visually stunning collector's item.

In June 2023, Waxwork Records began pressing their own releases, further solidifying their dedication to delivering top-notch quality products directly to music enthusiasts worldwide. George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead Original Theatrical Soundtrack. This expansive three LP set features the complete De Wolfe library cues from Romero’s 1978 cut of the zombie classic for the first time on vinyl. This special release of the iconic Dawn Of The Dead soundtrack features the U.S. theatrical soundtrack, including “Cause I’m A Man” by the British band Pretty Things, as well as fan favorite “The Gonk” by composer Herbert Chappell.

George A. Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead is considered to be one of the greatest and most compelling zombie films ever made by blending horror, gore, and social commentary on material society. Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars and called it “one of the best horror films ever made.” The film was selected as one of The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time by Empire Magazine in 2008. It was also named as one of The Best 1000 Movies Ever Made, a list published by The New York Times.
