Doug Carn

Doug Carn is a soul-jazz pianist, songwriter, and producer. Born on July 14, 1948 in St. Augustine, Florida, he gained recognition for his collaborations with Jean Carn on a series of albums at Black Jazz Records in the early 70s. Throughout his career, Doug has worked with renowned artists such as Nat Adderley, Earth Wind & Fire, Shirley Horn, Lou Donaldson, Stanley Turrentine, and Irene Reid. After converting to Islam, he changed his name to Abdul Rahim Ibrahim. His music is reminiscent of Calvin Keys, Henry Franklin and other influential artists from the era.
