Doug Mckechnie

In 1968, Doug McKechnie discovered the Moog Modular Series III synthesizer and began experimenting with it. He performed improvised concerts around the Bay Area, introducing audiences to electronic sounds. Outside of traditional recording studios, he developed his own unique way of playing the instrument on the fly. After losing access to the Moog, McKechnie pursued other creative endeavors. Now, after decades of being stored away, his recordings on reel-to-reel tape are finally being released.
