Me First and The Gimme Gimmes

Me First and The Gimme Gimmes are a punk rock supergroup formed in 1995 by musicians on the Fat Wreck Chords roster. Known for their cover songs, they put a punk rock twist on popular tracks and even incorporate musical interpretations of existing punk songs. Each album has its own unique musical theme. While most of their work is released through Fat Wreck Chords, they have also collaborated with other independent labels for singles and EPs.

The band was originally formed by bassist "Fat Mike" Burkett (NOFX), guitarists Joey Cape (Lagwagon) and Chris Shiflett (then of No Use For A Name), drummer Dave Raun (then of Rich Kids On LSD), and singer Spike Slawson (who worked at the Fat Wreck Chords warehouse and later joined Swingin' Utters).

Throughout their career, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes have had various fill-in musicians join them on tour due to the members' other commitments. Some notable examples include Brian Baker, Scott Shiflett (Chris Shiflett's brother), Eric Melvin, Adam Stern, Mark Mortensen, Grant McIntire, Barry Dalive, Warren Fitzgerald, Lindsay McDougall, Chris Cheney, Stacey Dee, Andrew Pinching, John Wickersham, and John Reis. Since 2014, Fat Mike has rarely performed live with the group; Jay Bentley and C.J. Ramone
