Morphine began in 1990 in Cambridge, MA, as a lighthearted experiment in darkness. The band struck a chord in the thriving local music scene, nurturing their previous musical experiences. They toured the world and commanded festival audiences of over 50,000. Tragically, during a performance in Italy, Mark Sandman collapsed and passed away at the age of 46.

Despite this devastating loss, Dana Colley and Billy Conway continued to honor Mark Sandman's legacy through their project called Twinemen. Today, Dana Colley and original drummer Jerome Dupree, along with blues guitarist Jeremy Lyons, continue to tour as Vapors of Morphine and The Ever Expanding Elastic Waste Band.

In December 2021, Billy Conway sadly passed away from liver cancer at the age of 65. Their contributions to the music industry will always be remembered.
