Muriel Grossmann
Austrian alto, soprano, tenor saxophonist, singer and composer Muriel Grossmann was born in Paris and grew up in Vienna. She started her musical journey with classical flute studies at a young age before transitioning to alto and soprano saxophone. Throughout her career, Grossmann has played and toured with various rhythm & blues, funk, world music, and jazz groups. In 2002 she moved to Barcelona where she began leading her own bands for recordings and concerts. Since then, she has been based in Ibiza where she continues to record and perform original compositions.
Grossmann has collaborated with notable musicians such as Joachim Kuehn, Wolfgang Reisinger, Rolf Kuehn, Martin Klingeberg, Thomas Heidepriem, Mark Vinci, Molly Duncan,and Christian Lillinger among others. Her performances have taken her across Europe and even as far as South Africa.
From 2011 to 2014 Grossmann performed and recorded with a quartet featuring Radomir Milojkovic on guitar Robert Landfermann on upright bass ,and Christian Lillinger on drums. Since 2014 she has been working with Radomir Milojkovic on guitar Gina Schwarz on double bass ,and Uros Stamenkovic on drums.
