Naglfar

Naglfar is a melodic black metal band from Umeå, Sweden. Founded in 1992 by Jens Rydén and Kristoffer Olivius, the band originally went by the name Uninterred. They later changed their name to Naglfar after recruiting new members and released their debut album "Vittra" in 1995. With major success following the release of "Sheol" in 2003, Naglfar continues to captivate audiences with their unique sound.

The band was formed by Jens Rydén (vocals, guitar) and Kristoffer Olivius (bass), along with drummer Ulf Andersson from Nocturnal Rites. As they wanted to focus on vocals only, guitarists Morgan Hansson and Fredrik Degerström joined the band as well. However, due to different personal and musical opinions, Fredrik Degerström was replaced by Andreas Nilsson.

After recording their first demo called "Stellae Trajectio", Naglfar signed with Wrong Again Records and released their debut album "Vittra". The band experienced some lineup changes over the years but continued to create music that resonated with fans worldwide. Their second full-length album "Diabolical" was released in 1998, followed by several other successful releases including "Sheol" in 2003.
