Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

World-renowned Pakistani musician, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, was primarily a singer of Qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis. Born on October 13, 1948 in Lyallpur, Punjab, Pakistan and passing away on August 16, 1997 at Cromwell Hospital in London, England. With an unbroken tradition of performing Qawwali for approximately 600 years within his family, Nusrat's mesmerizing vocals and profound musical talent have left an indelible mark on the world.
