Omar Khorshid

Omar Khorshid was a talented guitar player from Egypt. Born in 1945, he tragically lost his life in a car accident in 1981. He started his career playing at parties and small clubs before being invited by Abdel Halim Hafez to join his Oriental Orchestra. Omar then collaborated with Oum Kalsoum and her orchestra. In 1973, he moved to Lebanon where he began producing his own records until his untimely death. Additionally, Omar showcased his acting skills in various Egyptian, Lebanese, and Syrian films during the 1970s and early 1980s. It is estimated that he composed music for over 40 films.
