Shelly Manne

Shelly Manne was an American jazz drummer born on June 11, 1920 in New York, New York. He played a significant role in the jazz scene and was known for his exceptional drumming skills. Manne also had a business venture as part-owner of a popular nightclub in Hollywood, L.A., where he led the house band. His contributions to the music industry continue to be celebrated and remembered even after his passing on September 26, 1984 in Los Angeles, California.
