Silkworm

Silkworm was a US indie rock band that formed in Missoula in 1987. They later moved to Seattle in 1990 and gained recognition for their unique sound and captivating performances. The band consisted of *Andy Cohen* on guitar, *Michael Dahlquist* on drums, *Tim Midgett* on bass, *Joel R. L. Phelps* on guitar (1987–1994), and *Matt Kadane* on keys (2002–2005). Silkworm's music resonated with fans and critics alike, drawing comparisons to artists such as Archers Of Loaf, Treepeople, and Superchunk.

Throughout their career, Silkworm released several albums that showcased their musical versatility and creativity. Their songs were characterized by intricate guitar melodies, powerful drumming, and introspective lyrics. However, tragedy struck the band when drummer Michael Dahlquist passed away in 2005, leading to the dissolution of Silkworm.
