Stephen Mallinder

Stephen Mallinder is a British singer and musician, born on 1 January 1955 in Sheffield, England. He is best known as a founding member of Cabaret Voltaire. In 1995, he relocated to Australia for a decade and co-founded Wrangler with Pete Carrol in 1996. Mallinder holds a PhD as Doctor of Philosophy and his thesis 'Movement - Journey Of The Beat' was promoted at Murdoch University in Western Australia. Since returning to England, he has given lectures at the University of Brighton and joined the band Wrangler.

Stephen Mallinder is a pioneering artist who has made significant contributions to the music industry throughout his career. As one of the founding members of Cabaret Voltaire, he helped shape the sound of electronic music in the late 1970s and early 1980s. His innovative approach to music production and performance continues to inspire artists today.

In addition to his work with Cabaret Voltaire, Mallinder's time in Australia allowed him to explore new musical horizons. Co-founding Wrangler with Pete Carrol showcased his ability to adapt and evolve within different musical contexts.
