Sublime was an American band from Long Beach, California that formed in 1988. They were known for their unique blend of ska punk, hardcore punk, reggae, dancehall, dub, folk, and hip hop influences. Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 1996 following the tragic death of their singer Brad Nowell due to a heroin overdose. Despite this setback, the surviving members went on to form another band in 1997.

In 2009, Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson attempted to reform Sublime with Rome Ramirez as their new singer and guitarist. However, they faced a lawsuit which forced them to change the band's name to Sublime With Rome.

Despite their short-lived career and untimely end, Sublime left a lasting impact on the music industry with their genre-defying sound and memorable songs.
