Thirty Seconds To Mars

Thirty Seconds to Mars is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1998, the band consists of brothers Jared Leto and Shannon Leto. They have had several former members throughout their career. Their debut album, 30 Seconds to Mars (2002), received positive reviews but limited commercial success. However, they achieved worldwide fame with their second album A Beautiful Lie (2005), which was certified platinum in the United States. Their musical style evolved with their third album This Is War (2009) and continued to grow with subsequent releases.

The recording process of This Is War was marked by a legal dispute with record label EMI, which became the subject of the documentary film Artifact (2012). After moving to Universal Music, Thirty Seconds to Mars released Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013), which garnered critical acclaim and commercial success. Their most recent album America (2018) received mixed reviews upon release.

With over 15 million albums sold worldwide as of September 2014, Thirty Seconds to Mars has established themselves as a prominent rock band known for their experimental music and eclectic influences.
