Tomahawk

Tomahawk is an experimental alternative metal/alternative rock supergroup from the United States. Formed in 2000, the band was created when Mike Patton, known for his work with Fantômas, Mr. Bungle and Faith No More, and Duane Denison of The Jesus Lizard began exchanging tapes with the intention of collaborating. John Stanier, former drummer of Helmet and currently playing with Battles, joined as well at Denison's invitation. Later on, Kevin Rutmanis of Melvins/Cows became part of the group but left after their second album (Mit Gas). Trevor Dunn from Fantômas and Mr; Bungle then took over bass duties for their fourth album (Oddfellows).
