Early James released his Dan Auerbach-produced debut album, Singing for My Supper, via Easy Eye Sound at the onset of the pandemic on March 13, 2020. A pair of bonus tracks – "Tumbleweed" and "Mama Can Be My Valentine" – were shelved after the full year of touring was cancelled. Those tracks are finally available on 7" vinyl and span hard-charging blues, wistful folk, & ages-old pop crooning, anchored by a voice that oscillates from gravel- gruff shout to a honey-smooth whisper.
