Tina Turner, born on November 26, 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee, was an American rock singer, actress and author. Known as 'The Queen Of Rock 'n' Roll', she possessed a powerful blues-soaked voice that captivated audiences worldwide. Turner's career took off in the 1960s with hits like "River Deep, Mountain High" alongside her husband at the time. Despite enduring years of abuse, she found the strength to separate from him and share her story in her autobiography "I, Tina". In the 1980s, producer Rupert Hine played a pivotal role in relaunching her career.

Turner made a remarkable comeback with singles such as "Let's Stay Together" and the album "Private Dancer", which propelled her back into mainstream success. She also showcased her acting skills as 'The Acid Queen' in "Tommy" and 'Aunt Entity' in "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome". Her single "We Don't Need Another Hero", featured in the film's theme song, became another chart-topping hit for Turner.

In 2008, after a period of semi-retirement, Turner embarked on her highly successful "Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour", which became one of the biggest ticket-selling tours of that year. Ike Turner (born November 5, 1931, Clarksdale, Mississippi, USA - died December 12, 2007, San Marcos, California, USA) was an American musician, bandleader, songwriter, arranger, talent scout and record producer. He formed his first group as a teenager in high school called Ike Turner's Kings Of Rhythm. In 1956 he hired two sisters named Anna Mae Bullock and Aillene Bullock. He renamed Anna Mae Bullock as Tina Turner and married her. Together they had their first hit in 1960 with "A Fool In Love".
Ike Turner has frequently been referred to as a great innovator of rock and roll and has left a lasting mark in music history.

The Hunter is one of Ike and Tina’s most blues oriented albums. It was cut during the blues revival period of the late 1960s. Released just a few years after the Phil Spector-produced River Deep Mountain High, The Hunter boasts several fine blues workouts in which the Stax sound figures prominently. The album features electric blues guitarist Albert Collins. This masterpiece earned Tina Turner her first solo Grammy nomination.
