Jerry Garcia was a talented musician known for his skills on the guitar, banjo, pedal steel guitar, and vocals. Born on August 1st, 1942 in San Francisco, he began his musical career at the young age of 18. Throughout his life, Jerry played with various bands in the San Francisco area until December 1965 when he joined forces with *a246650* and performed at the first of *a121230*'s Acid Tests.
