Album artwork for Born To Die by Lana Del Rey

the second limited edition lana del ray 7" picture disc. 'born to die' is the the title track from her forthcoming major label debut. it's bleakly romantic and majestic in its scope. the track opens with sweeping strings before melting into a massive attack-style beat with echoing voices. then comes del rey's trademark voice, reminiscent of a 1950s soul diva as she pleads "feet, don't fail me now / take me to the finish line". however, the crowning glory of the track is its chorus, which builds up over two parts, the gem of which is when del rey sings "come take a walk on the wild side / let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain". her voice sounds soft and controlled yet at the same time intense and passionate in intent. it really is a beautiful moment and we challenge any listener not to get swept away by the raw romance of it all.
