Melissa Viviane Jefferson, known professionally as Lizzo, is an American rapper, singer, actor, flautist, and songwriter. She has been a part of several indie hip hop groups including The Chalice, Grrrl Prty, The Clerb, Ellypseas, and Absynthe. Lizzo's debut album "Lizzobangers" was released in 2013 followed by her second album "Big Grrrl Small World" in 2015. After working with Ricky Reed to improve her voice and signing with Atlantic Records, she released the major-label EP "Coconut Oil" in 2016. Her third studio album "Cuz I Love You" was released on April 19th, 2019 and she embarked on an international tour.

Lizzo's first EP, released in October 2016, comes to vinyl for the first time, on a milky white pressing with a coconut-scented insert! “There's self-exploration. There's self-love. Then there's self-realization," Lizzo told Rolling Stone. "'Coconut Oil' is the ultimate ode to self-care and to my process. I'm not there yet, but I'm creating my music so I can get there."
