Lupe Fiasco, born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He gained fame in 2006 with his debut album "Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor" and is also the frontman of rock band Japanese Cartoon. As CEO of 1st and 15th Entertainment, Fiasco has made a name for himself in the music industry. Raised in Chicago, he initially disliked hip hop but later embraced it after recording songs in his father's basement.
