Mastodon is an American heavy metal band based in Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in January 2000, the band consists of members who play guitar, bass, and drums. The band originally included a vocalist who left after recording their first demo.
Known for their unique blend of progressive metal and sludge metal, Mastodon has gained critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase worldwide. With their intricate musicianship and thought-provoking lyrics, they have released several successful albums throughout their career.
