Mindless Self Indulgence, commonly known as MSI, is an Electronic Punk band formed in New York in 1997. They describe themselves as Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk, although they later disowned the term. Their name is derived from a solo album Jimmy worked on in the mid-1990s. The band consists of Jimmy Urine on vocals and programming, Steve Righ? on guitar, Kitty on drums, and Lyn-Z on bass guitar.

Since their formation, Mindless Self Indulgence has been pushing boundaries with their unique blend of electronic and punk music. With Jimmy's energetic vocals and programming skills combined with Steve's electrifying guitar riffs, Kitty's powerful drumming, and Lyn-Z's solid bass lines, they have created a sound that is truly one-of-a-kind.

Although their current status is uncertain since they stopped making music in 2014, Mindless Self Indulgence has left a lasting impact on the music scene. Their rebellious attitude and provocative lyrics have garnered them a dedicated fan base who appreciate their boundary-pushing approach to music.
