Night Verses is an instrumental trio of unique musicians based out of Southern California. Their cinematic approach to songwriting and composition focuses on themes of surrealism, cerebral cinema, and ambience for abandoned spaces. The group’s ever-evolving sound builds upon elements of art rock, post metal, prog, shoegaze, trip hop, psychedelic, and avant garde. Daniel G. Wilson of Noisey wrote, “Night Verses ‘From the Gallery of Sleep’ is like Prog-Metal Salvador Dalí”

Nick (guitar), Reilly (bass) and Aric (drums) have mentioned in separate interviews that the band’s constant pursuit is to sound as expansive as possible, while still working within the limitations of what a 3 piece can perform live. To do this, they’ve developed unconventional techniques to broaden each member’s sonic potential. Using effects pedals on acoustic drums, live looping, ambient percussion, sampling and synth pads, they are constantly finding ways to sound like a much larger ensemble, without ever integrating the aid of backing tracks into their songwriting or live show.

Throughout the last decade, Night Verses has collaborated with members of Tool, Incubus, Author & Punisher, Circa Survive, Son Lux, Dillinger Escape Plan, Foreign Air, and more.

Album blurb We started writing this record before we even put out our last album in 2018, so when we released part 1 of ‘Every Sound Has A Color…’ last year, it was a huge relief to finally get it out after working on it for so long. The difference now with releasing part 2, is that the full and final piece of art will be complete. This album isn’t 2 separate albums, it’s one long one and is suppose to be taken in as a single piece of art for the listener. From the vinyl and artwork, to the sequencing and songs with vocals - we’re excited for people to finally be able to listen to the record in full.

Aside from the track listing being completed with part 2, the features are another thing we’re excited for people to hear. We’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with amazing artists on this album like Justin Chancellor (Tool) on part 1, and Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Anthony Green (Saosin / Circa Survive) and Author & Punisher on part 2. We love the idea of working with artists who we admire and are inimitable in their approach, to say we’re happy with how they helped finish up the record would be an understatement.

Between the 3 of us, the most important thing was that we were 100% satisfied that we made the best record we could. As of now, I think we accomplished that.
