Pepper was a renowned U.S. Jazz baritone saxophonist, known for his collaborations with legendary artists such as Benny Goodman, Charles Mingus, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis, and Donald Byrd. Born on October 8th, 1930, Pepper made significant contributions to the jazz genre throughout his career.

With an impressive resume that included working alongside some of the most influential figures in jazz history, Pepper's talent and artistry were widely recognized. His rich and soulful sound on the baritone saxophone captivated audiences around the world.

Tragically, Pepper's life was cut short when he passed away on September 10th, 1986 due to lung cancer. Despite his untimely death, his legacy lives on through his remarkable contributions to jazz music.
