Porcupine Tree is an English progressive rock band that was founded in 1987 by Steven Wilson. Originally starting as a solo project, the band evolved into a full lineup in 1993 with the addition of Colin Edwin, Chris Maitland, and Richard Barbieri. After going on hiatus in 2010, Porcupine Tree made their official return in November 2021 as a three-piece lineup consisting of Wilson, Barbieri, and Gavin Harrison. They released their new single "Harridan" and are set to release their eleventh studio album Closure / Continuation in June 2022.

The current lineup includes Steven Wilson on vocals, guitar, bass, and keyboards; Richard Barbieri on keyboards and synthesizers; and Gavin Harrison on drums and percussion. Former members include Chris Maitland on drums and Colin Edwin on bass. The touring members for the band currently include Randy McStine on guitar and backing vocals, Nathan Navarro on bass, and John Wesley on guitar and backing vocals during their earlier years.

With a rich history spanning over three decades, Porcupine Tree has established themselves as influential figures within the progressive rock genre. Their unique sound combines elements of rock with intricate melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Fans can look forward to experiencing their highly anticipated new album after a long-awaited return from hiatus.

Last year Porcupine Tree released their latest album The Incident. The album marked another step forward in the incredible journey of the band from a solo studio project created by Steven Wilson in the late eighties to a Grammy nominated act and one of the world's most revered live bands, currently selling out arenas across the globe and wowing fans with their incredible performances. "Anesthetize" is a DVD which captures the power of the band's live show. Recorded on multi-cameras over two nights at 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland in October 2008, the concerts featured tracks from throughout the band's career. "Anesthetize" collects the highlights from the two shows. It is only the band's second ever DVD release. Includes: 2 Hour concert film with stereo &amp; 5.1 sound,5 x Lasse Hoile 'Live films' from the show Photo gallery, "Anesthetize" is also released as a two disc package. The second disc is the Blu-Ray version of the concert. It contains the following extras: "Way Out of Here","My Ashes","Wedding Nails","Strip The Soul / Dot Three","Nil Recurring", 5 live films all directed by Lasse Hoile
